This preparation can be made by shot blasting with further metal-roll coating with electrically conductive protective primer at the stage of release for manufacture. After metal structure assembly the product needs degreasing and weld seams protection. This effectively reduces product preparation time before final painting.
Preservation lines are ideal when there is a lengthy manufacturing or storage time between blasting and final coating. In order to prevent rust returning, a weld primer is applied to provide corrosion resistance for weeks. Sheet widths of up to 5000mm can be processed, with passage speeds varying from 1.0m/min to 8.0m/min.

Roller conveyor blasting unit
The shot blasting chamber can have from 4 to 10 shot blasters. The shot blasters are located at effective angle of surface from above and beyond the metal roll, which excludes the blind zones.
The blast chamber removes rust and mill scale and provides a finish to internationally recognised preparation grades (Sa2.5-3.0) according.
Painting booth
The various plate and profile widths are automatically identified and are coated in a continuous process with a weld-primer coating thickness of approximately 15 - 25μm. Paint dust and solvents (if no water based paint is used) are treated according to the local requirements in an automatic filter unit and a VOC-treatment plant.
Drying chamber
The primer drying chamber works in recycling mode: the heated air is fed from the preliminary drying chamber with 10-15% fresh air intake from “outdoors” to prevent the recycling air oversaturation with solvents. The temperature from 30 С to 80 С is set according from primer type. As well as in painting booth, the transportation is made by chain conveyor with bearing elements. It guarantees minimal contact of painted surface with conveyor surface, protecting the painted surface from damage. The line is fitted with special filters, providing 92-98 % filtering of discharged air.
Blast turbines
The shot blast machine itself is equipped with high performance turbines available with different power options, which allows the turbine’s performance to be tailored to the respective machine size. The turbines are placed in the upper and lower section of the blast chamber at an incline so that the blast media hits the work pieces at a defined angle. Compared to turbines hitting the work pieces at an angle of 90 degrees, this inclined turbine arrangement results in a 15 – 20% higher de-scaling/de-rusting effect, which significantly reduces the required cycle times.
